7 Bichirs in a 75?

Just had a quick question. I'm getting worried about my catfish eating my bichirs. It's a 15-16" L. pictus. I have 6 bichirs that are about 12" and a gar that's about the same. Would putting them all (the bichirs and the gar) in a 75 be too much? It wouldn't be permanent, just for awhile. Filtration is 2 x Penguin 350's and an XP3. I'm trying to figure out how to move some of my fish around.

I thought about that, but I'm afraid it'll freak out. It's whiskers touch both sides of the tank as is and the 6 inches less in width might not be a good idea. I need to get these bass up to size so the cat can go in with them. I was thinking I could put the jar in the 210 and leave the cat in there and divide it if I have to. I want to eventually make the 210 all bichirs, gar and maybe an African aro. The cat is hampering that right now.

I'd do it. I run an emp400 and a cascade 1000 (which is smaller than an xp3), 4 bichirs 5-10", 3" african butterfly and it works out great. I feed tilapia HEAVILY, these are some FAT bichirs. If I had 7 big bichirs in a 75, I'd feed a lot less though.
I do a 15 or 20 gallon water change a week, using RO water that I buy from the LFS. Slacked off last week though. Edit: just tested nitrates, can't read it very well but it looks like at least 40ppm. I might need to get an RO unit so that I can do water changes more easily.
