just got a new 75 gallon tank and plugged the measurements into the conversion chart found its 82 gallons instead. cant complain with extra gallons.

Did you measure the inside dimentions? Did you account for the tank not being filled all the way to the top?

A lot of times manufacturers will just round up or down there advertised gallons. But to get the true gallons you need to measure the inside dimensions. Example my 300 gallon advertised plexi taking outside measurements comes out at 299.2 gallons, they rounded it up to 300. But the inside measurement give me 286.6 gallons if I filled the tank all the way to the very top.
