I went to check out my female Freddy when I got home from work - thought she would be pale and hiding/pouting since I removed her mate yesterday. She was actually out and looking quite well! I guess she'll be moving over to another boy

Thanks - I got her from COTA in June of 2016, so it took a while. She hid and grew very little. I had larger Loiselle, MOTAs and Jaguars in there. As soon as I took all of the other Parachromis out of the 300, she when from drab/slow growing/hiding to bright/fast growing/out in the open.
Thanks - she will be my last Parachromis, after I sell my male Loiselle. I'm focusing on Amphs (almost all from COTA) and eventually Umbee
Love it! I’m gonna say that my male jag will be my last parachromis for awhile. 18 months ago he was an egg. I lost his dad to his moms wrath. He’s a youngster, but pushing 10” already. After he and my Midas go it’ll be vieja I think. Maybe a male syn with 4-5 females in a 8x3x3. I really wanna try my hand at breeding lyonsi in the 210 at some point, grow 10 from both CotA and rapps. Then try to pair mixed genetics once they’re large enough for effective amateur venting.
Sounds like a plan. I've seen a lot of conspecific aggression from the vieja - and I just don't see quite the personality. I'll probably always have one or two, but I just can't commit as long as I don't have every Amph and Umbee!!
