No idea what it costs in London! 15mm can be a big jump up from 12mm though as it is much more difficult to cut.

ok, and if I stuck with a 2' height. it'd be a 12mm glass

Yep, could go up to say 68cm high with 12mm (210 long, 90 wide) and keep the safety factor above 2.5, I'm not entirely sure how different the calculations are for a timber framed tank vs all glass, but I'd still stick with ~65cm height for the window on a ply/timber build with 12mm.

I was originally going to put a pond filter on this tank but I've just found out I can get 1x Fluval fx5 for 102.00 brand new.. on a tank size of 7x3x2, I'd need to Fx5s right? Any other ideas on filtration?

I had a quote today from aw aquatics for a 7x3x2 10mm glass they wanted £455 this does not include delivery or drilling or sliders. Seems cheap enough to buy instead of the hassle of building in my opinion

I got quote too..for same size aquarium with 12mm glass, custom lid and they assemble it right at my place for 1200€ (~1030£ )

How come you chose 10mm only?
