we're just about to celebrate our old peppered corys 7th birthday. we've had 'boy' since the start of our foray into fishkeeping & hes still alive & well. cant quite believe it, he had a girl partner but sadly she died about a year & a half ago, we thought he'd soon follow as he was looking a bit worse for wear but since we bought a couple more peppered corys for our big tank its given the old boy a new lease of life. hes always following the young uns around and looks very lively still.
he's survived a few traumas in our tank - a massive tank rupture which saw him & his 27 tank mates stuck in a 7L hosp tank for more than a couple of hrs until we got buckets & a new tank, he survived an auto food failure ( when we were on holiday for 2 weeks ) and a heater & light failure ( again we were away for 2 weeks - and it was the middle of winter) talk about a tough old fish. especially to survive our cluelessness when we started out!!
