Mile High in Northern AZ, baby!~
I just got back from the closest LFS to my house. After getting the food stuffs I needed I checked out the Fish...
I saw the most perfect Silver Aro.... 6-7" size great big fins and the eyes were flat against the side...
Then it hit me, they were asking 69.99 :WHOA:
That's like double price... I had to pass, we'll see how it goes when the owner gets in...

I don't know what you guys are used to paying but right now that is about the asking price out here. Average seems to be about $10 an inch.

Even if it has no DE now it could still get it 6-7" is still small.

Way over priced if you ask me.
Yeah I agree DE can come on at any time, but I have had a few Aros' and you can tell for sure at this size when the eye socket is already buldging...this one is totally flat...I'll try to get some pix next time I go there..

I can get Silvers for 40 bux up north, but by time you pay for gas there and back it's about the same....

Yeah - $30.00 for the fish and $100+ for shipping.

Plus, if you buy online, you don't know what kind of condition the fish is in until it arrives at your door. At least at the lfs, you see before you buy.

Exactly what I was thinking... I wonder where the nearest breeder of Arowana is...Probably Florida or South America...
