I bought this pump for my 500g. My sumps, filters and skimmer are in my basement. There is about 20' of horizontal run, and 10-12' vertical head pressure. This pump performs really well. I can neither confirm nor deny the seller's assertion about the efficiency of the pump, but it is quiet, and even with all that head pressure moves a lot of water. I just wish I bought the 11,000 gph pump instead! But for those of you looking for an alternative to some of the sequence pumps, these come very highly recommended.

That's a really good price. A cheap way to confirm the actual wattage being used is with a Kill A Watt meter, they're cheap too. I've read that most companies are a little too generous with their energy efficient ratings.

Even if it is not as efficient as they say it is still a good value, imho. Anyone else here have any experience with these pumps? I've had mine a few months now, and I really hope it lasts.

I have heard and used the second one, Superfalls. These are really good pumps, sold under the name of Wave of Superfalls, as far as I know.
