I want to play it safe and ask around. I used multiply aquarium design calculators and came up with a glass thickness of 3/8. Would a tank with a plywood bottom be safe with 3/8 thick glass? It will be 72x96x24 with glass bracing all along the top. Thanks

I'm coming up with 13 mm (1/2") for a 3.8 safety factor. For 9 mm (~3/8"), I'm getting a 2.0 safety factor. Unless this is strengthened or tempered glass, I don't know if extra bracing is adequate.

I'm seeing on different calculators that if I go with a 21" height I can stay with 3/8. Is this ok? Just on a tight budget, but if the answer is no I can save up more to get 1/2".
