72 gallon bowfront

I was getting ready to pick up this tank today and it holds water fine.
The black silicone seemed to be peeling off the seams.
Should I pass on this setup or is that silicone just for show and does not effect the integrity of the tank?
Any advice would help I can still go pick it up.

I personally would buy but would reseal. The silicone is sealing the aquarium but wouldn't trust loose silicone.

Honestly it just depends on pricing. Sounds like it needs a reseal. Is it worth it to you after that? Maybe you could use it as a negotiating point. I literally just bout the same setup last night but in oak. Came with a sump, gravel, background and several bags of extras for 140

I hear that that bro! It was a great deal but I am not much on doing any resealing work these days so I passed on it.
