Its bare bottom with some large river stones and mopani wood, fairly simple set up.
pbass,flagtail,turtle,plecos,mono sebae, enjoy. [YT]MsEpU5VwZbY[/YT]knifefish.
fitration is an fx5 fluval and a 1200L/p/h otto sponge.

my knowledge of mono's is limited to say the least. i looked them up when i had a salt tank and from what i can remember from the research i did was that everywhere i read said the same thing - they should only be kept in fresh water when they are young and need to be moved to more salt rich environment as they get bigger, also if i remember rightly they prefer a higher ph.

i dont know what would happen to them if kept permanantly in fresh.

Nice thank! Thats some filtration, and one hell of a pleco. I find the fish a bit too busy but thats just me.
The tank is normally alot more chilled i threw in some bloodworm to stir up some activity for the camera

I will probably loose the mono sebae as they grow a bit more, they are in as distraction for the turtle so he doesnt pick on the more expensive fish.
I add 1 teaspoon of salt to every 10L and 1 teaspoon of blue conditioner for every 10L as well so the water is slightly on the saline side already i suppose

Nice-what species is the turtle?

Its an emydura maquarii , he will go into a pond or is own tank as soon as he is big enough to damage any of the fish.
