I am wanting to buy a 6 foot Manufactured Overhead Filter for my 110 gallon glass aquarium. Must be able to ship UPS GROUND. Can not P/U. I am located in St. Johns, AZ zip code: 85936. Serious MFK Member's, Vendors and Retail Aquarium Shop offers only need reply. Thank you.

good luck

Might be cheaper just to go to an acrylic shop and tell them you want a box. Would cost you like 60$

Thanks, T.C.

In my case it would be cheaper for me to order a commercial made one. The nearest REAL acrylic shop closest to me is 250-300 miles one way, in Phoenix, AZ. I'm not real sure if they'd really do that for me or not and the cost could be questionable, depending on the drawing specifications I give them for my 110 gal. tank OHF.

danz, another MFK member has a thread on here about a DIY OHF, made with a plastic flower pot and a pwr. head pump. Then before he finished his DIY thread, he purchased a commercial made OHF. He posted the website close to the end of the thread, but to no avail, it dead ended. So, I have asked him for more detailed information and hopefully, he'll pull through by coughing up more info on the website he posted.

They should quote you and ship it. Check craigslist for acrylic fabricators, you can get sheets sent at a decent rate and maybe glue them yourself. I just think it would suck paying 300$ for a OHF. I like the concept but i think the flower pot thing should work.

Why do you think they call them Flower Pots? That's what they were designed for . . . flowers!

I think too, danz may have given up as I don't feel his DIY OHF DESIGN was working out to well.

There's got to be a better way to design one though! I'm working on it! I'm working on it!

I never thought of acrylic fabricators. Maybe there is one close by my town. I'll also ask around St. Johns, where I live. Maybe some knows someone, who knows someone . . . who's an acrylic fabricator. EXCELLENT!
