Hey people this tank as above is advertised locally to me...

The filtration is described as follows:
72x18x21 marine/ tropical/coldwater tank approx 1oo.gals 4ft trickle filter tank in cabinet inc lighting sump pump heaters an uv sterlizer +fluvel 203 canister filter.

It was used for saltwater setup before the guy got sick so now keeping fancy goldfish (feeders in waiting)

What will need changing for it to be a tropical setup? Other then sterilizing it all etc?

my advice to u would be get it... sell all the decor you dont want, and any other supplies that come you dont want... also sell the fish... because those oldies look too big for feeders... with that money u can either stock ur tank or buy a lil 10 gallon to store a few feeders before u toss em in ( quarantine time)

nothing is needed from what i read

The bit that I don't know about is the trickle filter? He said there's some sort of wheel in there? Whats the deal with having a 4th one of those? a 4ft one of those for a 6ft tank? I know saltwater people do things differently, but will that be usable on a freshwater tropical setup?

You could definitely use the wet/dry underneath. I have a three foot trickle filter (Oceanic) for my four foot tank. You can setup some serious biological filtration on the wet/dry and use your other filters for added filtration IMO. The nice thing about a large wet/dry is the added water volume to help keep your tank healthy. You can also use it to store you heater(s) and such.

That is a beautiful tank, hope you get it. Good luck and post some pics of the filter if you get a chance.

Happy New Year!

Jkoziatek + Nic thanks :)

Nice one KS! To be honest when I first saw it and contacted him I didn't even realize what was underneath in the cabinet. I just saw 72 inches and started drooling!!! It's being sold for 100 pounds all in, will cost me around 60 pounds borrowing a van and beer for my driver plus petrol etc. So maybe 160 total, which is way cheaper then anything else I've seen for that big. Just gotta pray they guy keeps to his word and holds it till Thursday for me.

Getting it into my house is gonna be fun, going to have to remove a window to get it into the room. Will be worth it if it all works out though! Finally a monster tank is on the horizon wooooohooooooohoooooo!

Happy new year! 2008's looking promising hehe

You wouldn't need anything else assuming all equipment is in good working order and quality.
Everything is already there.

Ok guys great news, I picked it up last night. Was a nightmare to transport and get out of the guys house. It's in my garage right now, preparing space in the room for it. Gonna be a nightmare to get into my room, will find a way tho. Will post pic's once it's in. :)
