This is my first actual post on here, been floating around n reading through the past threads trying to keep from asking a previously answerd questions(stopd once i noticed i was in around page 50's)

i was wondering what would be a good idea for stocking, predatory would be preferable but i am open to suggestions. i plan on prodiving plenty hiding places. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance

ps..this site is amazing, i love the community

Well, that's around 250 gallons, so there are lots of options. Everybody here has their favorite group of fish, so you'll probably get a different stocking plan from every single member who replies if you leave it completely open-ended. Is there any certain fish or two that you'd really like to keep? Giving us a starting point would make it easier to offer suggestions

What ever it is add a few Bichirs

i was thinking cichlid , but other than that i am kinda jus ??? lol hoping sum1 would be able to throw a few ideas out ther other than arrowana. not that i dont like them, i jus prefer something other. so in tha end...any cichlid ideas?..also i appreciate the quick responses and sorry for being so vague, im at work at the moment but cannot stop thinking of what i should do!...haha

Where will you be getting fish? Locally or ordering online?...

If you are buying locally, then shop around locally and see whats available...

If you are interested in ordering online then I suggest you check out a quality breeders stocklist and see what's available. Keep a second window open with google available to look up pictures and profiles of fish you are not familiar with...

There are thousands and thousands of combinations of fish that could successfully be kept i nyour 210 gal tank... In an hour researching a stocklist w/ google you could find out 50x more info than you will reading 300 posts of people hollering names of fish here...

online or local, either or really. i have a friend who owns a petstore in town but somehow has little to NO knowledge on the subject...for the reason i came to MFK. i have spent the past month and a half researching online but still felt unsure. i gues the reason i posted is was in hope someone would tell me of stock they have kept together..i know people try n keep JD's,GT's,RD's,Os,Jags etc in tanks together, but i would prefer my fish to live happy rather then stressed. MFK community for the most part has seemed to go towards what the fish want rather then the owner...thats the kind of suggestions im hoping for..
