So I'm upgrading my 55 to a 75 for christmas and will be adjusting my stock a little bit (Brochis cories and raphael cat going back to LFS)...

Here is what will be going into the 75 (my stock currently is in my sig)

1 Carpintis "Vontehillo" (4") - very tolerant and mild mannered
6 Tiger Barbs (will be upping the school to 10 once I find ones as big as mine :grinno: )
1 Orange Seam pleco (5")

I was wondering if I could add a red oscar to the bunch (I know as he gets bigger he might start hunting the barbs), my LFS recently got in a batch that are stunning around 1.5". Obviously I'd QT the O before he goes in the 75.

Do you think this stocklist would work long term? :banhim:
My only worry is that the Texas would fight with the oscar

1 Carpintis "Vontehillo"
1 Red Oscar
10 Tiger barbs
1 Orange Seam Pleco

Not at all.

The stock you have is what Id stick with in a 75.

Full grown Oscars bare minimum tank size alone, to me , is a 75g...and I personally wouldnt even keep one in that size tank.

If you wanted more fish in the 75g, you could try the HRP and tetras from your 20L in there with the carpintis and, aquascaped correctly, would be a nice full, good looking & active tank.

Your carpintis may be tolerant now but may not be receptive to another large cichlid tankmate.

Agreed.

Where are you from Because i like the Raphael cat fish i take him

You are getting rid of a great cat in the Raphael. You can add the oscar but long term I do not know. But if you start them out together young then maybe they will coexist in harmony.

Sadly I had a feeling this was true, but wanted to ask around for opinions other than my own. I'd rather not put the HRP in the 75 just because I worry about him with the texas, and he's the centerpiece fish of my planted 20 long which has worked beautifully for about 8 months, and I don't really want to change it if it works haha. But perhaps a sajica or bellycrawler pike (Crenichichla sp. "bellycrawler) could work with the texas?

Also bought an awesome christmas present for myself... It's a piece of Manzanita driftwood, about 2.5-3' long :) LFS just got it off the truck and I snagged it
