I found a 75 gallon aquarium for sale for $60. It's about 250 miles round trip from me and will cost me about $20 to drive there and back. The description is "oak trim, holds water". Sound like a good deal?

Do it man! but.... Call first. Ask for details. Holds water... maybe ask if it has a filter, light, heater, bubbler?

If yes to any of that then go get it man!

Thanks, I emailed the guy about it a couple times, but I'm waiting on a reply from him now. I would like to go with a bigger tank, but I'm limited to used. I don't have the money for a new monster tank, so I'm just looking for anything over 75 right now.

$60 for a 75 gal that holds water is a great deal. Even if you add in the $20 for fuel.

I would specifically ask about scratches though. As this can make or break a good deal.

If you want a larger tank 'long term' but are limited to used tanks currently, grab the 75 gal. Maybe in the near future you will be able to get a larger tank as your main tank and keep the smaller 75 gal as a secondary tank... or use it as an elaborate sump...
