i recently moved and im the process of seting my tank back up a 75 gallon with 2 fluval 404s i wana do a single cichlid in the tank or a pair but was looking for some advice im open to anything thankyou much for your help

Think it will boil down to what exactly are you looking for in terms or personality, size, etc.

yes i was leaning towards something like a jag or a red devil midas, a real beast that will fill the tank as theres or a pair like gt or jd would be awsome

Don't get a Midas. Just get a straight Red Devil. Midas' don't get nearly as big.

thanks for the advice didnt know that i wouldnt be breeding a pair to sell the fry im just intrigued by having a pair would they interact with each other or be very rough with each iother i want a nice display tank as the center of the room would a single species be best

I've always been partial to same general species in a tank. For example, I have a Carpintis and a Gold Saum in my 55g. Not the same exact species, but are very similar in area, temprament, and feeding habits. But if I were you, I'd just go with a single red or jag. They're both beautiful, very aggressive, and are great as a single species. If you want to go down the road of pairing, I'd say get a pair of JDs, particularly EBJDs, although the price tag will be a bit high.
