Depends on what is in there, but given that the tank is properly stocked i can't imagine anything needing more arration then that.

Depends on your temp and stock, or whether or not you put salt in your tanks.
Some people put salt some people dont unless treating disease. If your not using salt now then there's really no reason to start.
you can always get the optional spraybars for the 405...i use them with my xp3s in my 75 and set them right at the waterline for tons of movement
