75 gallon filtration

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would ditch the HOB filters and invest in a couple of Korella's or another brand of power-head and a protein skimmer
unless you are going to clean your filters every week they actually do more harm than good in a saltwater
setup nitrates will build up rapidly and they do not really give you the flow needed to keep your live rock free of debris so it can do its job efficiently
if you can set up a sump that would be ideal if not there are decent hob skimmers out there

I would have at least 2 one on each end and keep in mind that if its a standard powerhead with an open bottom small fish and inverts can and usually will get sucked in

Thanks for the tips, next time I order from drs foster and smith I'll get one. (I spent 62 bucks on Sunday there)
