whats the slandered stocking level of fish will also have crabs shrimp and snails. the fish i plan on get grow to 5in at most. is 8 to 9 fish to many or a good number to shoot for?

most inverts really don't count towards your bio-load since they eat the waste and leftover food however I generally stock my tank's 1 fish per 5 gallon's as well as take into consideration of there mature growth so if your max growth on all your fish is 5inches and you plan on getting 9 then take 9x5= 45-inches so that should be good but you may wanna research there abilities to get along as well as what there recommended tank size should be.

it depends entirely on the fish


a 5 inch dwarf lionfish coul live in a 30 gallon
a 5 inch blue tang would need a 55-75 gallon tank
