Why two?? You really only need one for a 75.
I just have a cheap Aqueon 250 for my 75 gallon. The tank stays a consistent 79F.

x2 on the aqueon I like the pro series.. like 30$ offa amazon for a 250watt w/ free shipping.. and I like that it's not glass, and fully submersible.

2 heaters, afaik, is
1: redundancy if one fails
2: help with longevity because neither has to work as hard
Sure there's other reasons for it. Probably not a MUST, but could save you some headache (and possibly some fish). I personally only have a single 300W in-line heater on mine (Hydor). Nice to not have to look at it in the tank. It also has some cool features, like automatic failsafes if water flow stops.

I have a Jager in a 10g backstock/quarantine/growout/timeout tank, but I've only had it for a month. Doing it's job so far.

I have owned many heaters and only run 1 jager 300 on my 75 and its actually over kill for my tank. This heater could heat my 150 alone but 2 would help the life of each heater. Its built so much better than other glass heaters and its shatter proof. I bought and now buy everything from kensfish.com.

I've had 2 eheim jagers quit, so I wouldn't recommend them. I had a 200 watt last 6 months and a 150 watt last only 3 months. I'm still using a 300 watt Jager controlled by a ranco temperature controller. I've been using the Ranco, since I set the tank up, so hopefully the heater last. The ones that quit the heating indicator light lit up, but they didn't heat. I actually thought the indicator light on a jager was a port hole to see the glow of the heating element. You'd think if the element was glowing it was heating, so I don't know what to think. I've been using a few aqueon pro heaters with no issues so far. I run all my heaters with external temperature controllers now, since the internal thermostat is unreliable.
