so I have had puffers for a long time. I can no longer get them anywhere near where I live. I wanted to get another so I ordered one on line. It had an internal parasite that killed it and my other puffer as well. I tired every medicine I could find nothing did the trick. I am really really upset by this. So I now I have a clean slate to start with. I would love to get another puffer but I won't mail order again from an unknown person. So I am trying to decide on something else.

I would love to hear your suggestions

What I am looking for.

1. Good color
2. Interesting Personality
3. Grow large enough to eventually fit 1 or 2 in a 125 but no larger.

What I am not looking for

1. Malawi or Mbuna cichlids. I don't like fish that just chase each other all day.
2. Fish that get the huge bumps on there heads. Reminds me of Looney Toons when they get hit in the head with a hammer LOL.
3. I don't like Oscars
4. I like Arowanas but they get way to big.

I was thinking possibly couple EBJD or couple Texas Cichlids or couple Comets. Maybe 1 Mbuna Cichlid by its self if I can find an interesting one.

Really missing my puffers so if anyone has a few they want to send me that are in good standing on this forum I might consider.

Nay ideas? What about these Peacocks I see on here?

Peacock bass? 75 is far too small for them I had 2 pbass in a 180 and they looked cramped. Try red terrors( red festae) beautiful fish but very aggressive and territorial. I've got 2 in a 90 gal

Fire eel or black ghost knife are interesting, striking fish that might be good in a 75 for a while, perhaps? They would eventually outgrow it though I suppose.

So that is a no go on peacocks then. I didn't know how big they got. Red Festae looks interesting. If I got just two would they be battling the whole time in a 75 or would they settle into territories?

Green terror... Colourful and gets a nice hump...

I like green terror colors but I don't like big humps

They red terrors might but just set up lots of hiding spots on both ends of the tank, I've got rocks on one side drift wood on the other and fake plants. They will rip up live plants. If u do decide to get some make sure they are true red festae for the good colors
