Figured I'd get some opinions here as well, here's my 75 gallon stand project

So my GF's father (a carpenter) has been kind enough to build me a custom, solid oak, 75 gallon wood stand. He sent me pictures in the mail (yup, roll camera pictures) and I wanted to share the progress as I'm REALLY excited for this!

Here is the base of the whole stand (just standing up)

All the legs on

Primer on the inside and panels on the outside added as well (they're a little high up top because he's doing a trim on the outside of the tank)

Wow overkill!!!! I I built mine similar to to that but without the 4x4's for legs. I may build another one but extend the length for more storage space. Nice stand

Haha yeah, but that's how he is. When he builds something, it will last forever. I figure it could hold up a small car :)

Well I've seen stands tested before and I would put money on it that ur stand will hold much more than a small car

Well it weighs over 200 lbs right now and thats just as it stands in the last picture... He's building raised panel cabinet doors and still is going to do a trim all around the top (and probably bottom) of the tank, and will be using "Sedona Red" stain on it.

Edit: Not to mention that knowing it will hold more than a small car is very comforting
