so i finally hashed out my lighting problem, 216 watts and was having a bugger of a time finding the right distance from surface...right on top was too low and caused a horrible algae problem.....re-arranged some of the plants and this is how i ended up.

its a mix blend of play sand, pea gravel, and now added crushed granite....ill post the new pictures later of it....makes the tank for sure now....also added some colored rocks in some openings
