You might want to get up on how the Nitrogen Cycle works before you start adding fish.
Would be a big bummer to add expensive fish only to watch them sicken ane die off.

sorry i forgot to add that i put some of the old water from the 30gallon and stress coat in there to help speed bacteria growth

as previous poster stated research nitrogen cycle. then start with some easier fish to keep before trying your hand at discus.

Stress Coat will only help remove chlorine, but will do nothing for the nitrogen cycle or bacteria growth. Nor will tank water from an old tank help. Very little bacteria is in the water. The bacteria is all on the surfaces of the items in the tank. Moving the gravel and filter from the old tank will help. I agree with the other guys, read up! There are great stickies on this.

You can also try using seachem stability. People seem to have success in speeding up their cycle using it.

thank you for all your recommendation , i did transfer my filters over from my 30gallon and getting a Penn plix500 soon. oh and it wasn't stree coat i finally found the bottle and it said Stress Zyme, the guy at the shop said that sold me my jardini said it will help with the bacteria growth.

Again, you have to learn about the nitrogen cycle before adding fish. Transfering a cycled filter or adding bottled bacterias won't do anything to cycle your tank unless there is some source of ammonia in it. Your filter bacterias and bottled bacterias are probably already dead from starvation, if we can say it that way.
