What type of algae are you having issues with?

Did you end up getting CO2?

My algae crew consists of: otos, SAE's, FFF, rubber-lipped pleco, bristlenosed pleco, and whatever amano and blue shrimp manage to hide in the plants from my ghost knife

The green algae that grows on the glass, driftwood, and plants. It is not hair algae. This stuff is more flat. Yes, I ended up getting co2. I also have a controller. Very happy with it, except for the algae...

I actually bought two systems. Now I am selling one of them because I sold one of my fish tanks.

Try some snails. i had some eat it off the plants not the wood/glass... Glass i just razored it off.

NO SNAILS! It just took me 3 months and pretty much taking down the tank to get rid of the snails that were in there before. My tank is snail free and I would like to keep it that way. I soak all my plants now before they go into the tank.

3months? wtf, did u do a fish control for them? get snail back into your tank. When i had snails i found my planted tank at its cleanest. Try some of the ones that dont breed like crazy...

I had 7 large clown loaches and still a snail problem! I do not want any type of snail. I know of no snail that does not breed like crazy!
