right now only 2 of the 4 65 watt compacts are on. Co2 is running with a controller. Amazons were just planted. I am wondering about ferts?

There isn't a need for co2 injection considering the plants currently in the tank. For ferts, that will depend on the amount of nutrients in the water, and the rate that they are taken up.
There are two seperate driftwood decors mounted on slate. Each piece of slate has about 3 pieces of driftwood. I understand co2 is not needed. Co2 is not needed for a lot of plants, but it sure makes them grow faster and healthier if nutrients are available with the correct lighting!
That is true, but you have some plants that accept medium to high lighting for fast growth, and some that accept low to medium.
Yes, the java fern all reproduced from the piece in the picture below so I left it in the tank. What do I have to lose...
The plants in the picture 2 posts above were all sold about 18 months ago along with my 13 rainbow fish to a guy in Florida...I sure miss those fish!
