Mississauga, On.
hello everyone. this will be the new home of my 75 gallon tank stand build. just to give u guys a short glimps into the project, i bought a used 75 gallon tank from aquatic kingdom in mississauga ( great shop by the way ) and im building a custom stand and sump for it. this is going to be my first big freshwater build and its going to be a planted tank with schooling and live breeding fish. or a cichlid tank. but theres tons of time for me to make up my mind on that. anyway im going to go get building and take some pictures for you to stare at. cheers

ok so it took longer then i expected to get the wood cuz i had to get my freind with his jeep to help me bring it home. the home depot we went to didnt have any premium 2x4's so i had to sift through and find the least warped and twisted peices i could find. then when i got home i was so excited to get started so i forgot to take pictures till i was almost done the frame. so i only took 3. it was quite a fight to keep the thing square with the ****ty 2x4s but its solid. im still going to add some more bracing and supports just for the sake of overbuilding so i dont have to worry at all. so heres the pics.

ok so to finish off the stand for now, i put cork on the top and bottom of the stand to give it a softer footing for the tank, and some shock absorption. i glued it down with lepage outdoor wood glue because of its water resistance as well as why i used cork tile. i used this glue and 10 x 3 1/2 saw tooth construction screws to hold the stand together. i am also using the left over cork tile to level the stand in my living room. here are some more pictures. the picture with the tank on the stand also shows the smaller tank im going to build my sump out of with the drilled overflow in the tank feeding it.

Agreed, Looks good.

I currently have a 90G on a Stingray, I'm thinking of making the same build so I can put in a sump. Waiting to see how yours turns out.
