Would this combo be ok in a 75 gallon (48x18)
1 Ornate Bichir
5 Jurupari
1 African Knife Fish
1 Clown Pleco
2 Bushy Nose Plecos
4+ Cory Cats

25% WC Weekly
Sand Substrate

Do you think this will be a ok combo in a 75? If not why and what can I do to fix it?

It's a little heavy, but it also depends on which species of Jurupari you mean.

Heavy filtration, and ditch the Ornate, maybe get a smaller bichir, like a senegal.

You'll be overstocked, but with good filtration and WC schedule, you'll be fine.

ornate will eventually out grow the tank... will take some time though

but it will eat the cory cats and maybe the smaller plecos (or any fish it can get its mouth around)

the plecos may suck its slime coat too

IMO, just get rid of the ornate and you are good.

Sure a Ornate will out grow a 75? I have him right now in a diff tank he is about 7" and 2 Cory Cats are in the tank with him. I might just drop the cory cats...
But the Clown Pleco can always be put into another tank. I'm not worried about pleco sucking on slime coat.

So that would bring the stock down to...
5 Jurupari
1 African Knife fish
2 Bushy Nose Plecos
1 Ornate Bichir
I can also adress a problem if it arises
Filtration would be a Eheim 2217 or 2215 I cant remeber and a Ac110

Do you think this would be a better setup?
