Hey guys, ive got a 75 gallon which has a group (2m 4f) p.elongatus around 2-3 inch, and a 3.5 inch male s.fryeri. I want to add a few fish but the fryeri and elongatus are so aggressive. Do you think a group 1m 3f kenyi, and a group of m. auratus 1m 4f would work? Also could I add one demasoni to the mix? Just one not a whole group, I dont have room or the money for 20 of them little guys. Any sugestions would be great, im looking for color if I can :grinno:

I'm not too familiar with Haps, so this is strictly mbuna advice here.

The auratus and kenyi are some of the most aggressive mbuna out there. You do want to overstock but you want to stick with species that don't have similar patterns or colors and then stay way from the super aggressive species. I would look into some Acei, Yellow labs, Perlmutt and Hongi to finish off your stock.

Thanks. After reading on google and looking through pictures I'm going down the road you said. I've always like yellow labs, I know everyone has them but oh well. I found a supplier with f2 labs that I'm gonna try. So 2m 4f ps.elongatus, 1m4f yellow labs, male fryeri, and maybe a few singles I find.

Yeah yellow labs are very common, but if you can get in on a good line with no bearding and get some bright yellow fish that aren't all that aggressive (for mbuna standards that is) then to me that is complete win.
