I have a 75 gallon that I would like to setup and wanted to know from you guys if this may be overstocking or if I will be in the clear. I would like to stock it with. Also if these fish will get along... thanks
1. Ctenopoma
2. Albino bristlenose pleco
3. Green phantom pleco
4. Blue phantom pleco
5. Ropefish
6. Palmas polli
7. Delhezi bichir
8. Senegal bichir
9. Red wolf fish

Also to add, i will not have any decorations but maybe some small driftwood for the plecos and some smooth small pebble substrate. And I am looking to put 2 110 aquaclears on it.

Eventually you’ll be overstocked but initially should be fine for a while. I’ve had a few bad experiences with polys and plecos tho so watch for suction wounds. Also watch the wolf

I personally wouldn’t trust a wolf with other fish but that’s just me being paranoid, also I haven’t kept one before. Anyway if I ignore the wolf then I say your stocking looks about right to me.

Lots of fish for a small volume size.

Those pebbles should be much larger than the adult size poly, otherwise get mesh size #20 silica sand like pool filter sand.

Ropes like being in groups of 3+.

It would be better to decide poly or pleco for the tank.

I'm pretty sure the red wolf will attempt at eating the Ctenopoma, so decide which one you prefer. The red wolf would be fine with polys.

With the fish i listed, would this be considered a oddball/predator tank or just a predator tank?

I think you are going to have some issues. I'd say need a tank more like a 180. Sand as substrate with polys or they will eat it and die. I wouldn't mix all those fish. I have a bristlenose with my polys and so far ok. Some have issues some don't. The wolf fish is the wild card I think for stuff getting wrecked.

What if I didnt add a ctenopma but instead a Polypterus Palmas Palmas and I would still be at 9 total fish... (granted the red wolf would get along with everyone, I will buy all species at a smaller similar size for them to grow up together and be familar with each other.) Would 2 to 3 50% water changes a week be enough?
Thanks
