Current stock:
1 Red spotted severum
1 Jd
1 Opaline gourami (yes he’s living fine with the two above)
6 tiger barbs
6 juli cory’s
1 bristlenose pleco

Am I max stocked or would I be able to fit 4 more tiger barbs to get the school up to 10? Could I get even more than 4? Other species that would school well in same tank as tiger barbs?

Wouldn’t add anymore to the tank.

Your Severum and Jack Dempsey would max out your tank once they both get about 10 inches each which means multiple water changes every week. If you were to get rid of the Dempsey then all of your other tank additions will work out nice. The Jack Dempsey will slowly eat your other fish as it grows.

I would agree that the tank will be fully stocked and shouldn't add more fish if the current balance is working fine. I would advise strongly against keeping corys with large cichlids as well, as they have spines which lodge in the cichlid's throat if they attempt to eat them. I had a panamensis eat one and had to remove it with pliers after the fish couldn't cough it up. Difficult to do without hurting the fish, and an avoidable risk.
As far as maintenance with your current stock, monitor your parameters to tell how many water changes will be needed. Nitrate is a good indicator of water quality, I usually shoot to keep mine below 20ppm before next water change. And usually do water changes once weekly, unless a setup requires more. Or if a tank is densely planted (not a few plants here and there- something like 50% of space filled with plants) maintenance can sometimes be reduced.
