75 Gallon Stocking Questions

Hello people, sorry to be another one of "those threads" but I can't find an already existing thread to answer my question, so here I am.I have a 75 gallon tank with an Oscar that's about 9-10 inches long. I was wondering if I could give him a tank mate. I was thinking about a Jack Dempsey, does anyone know if this would work?
P.S I do 25% water changes weekly, if it matters.

Probably not going to work, at least not for long. Get at least a 6' tank if you want to keep large aggressive cichlids with tankmates. It'll save you a lot of headaches and heartache.

i would keep the Oscar solo personally, would also up the water changes to at least 50% a week.
