well im getting paranoid again, just want to make sure i dont have too many fish in my 75. so here goes. I have

4 pearl gouramis
3 three spot gouramis
2 betta pugnax
1 Badis assamensis
6 zebra loaches
6 botia histronica

if anything i might have too many loaches, they are all really small now so i might have to upgrade in a few years. opinions anyone????

bump

I had to Google some info. i would drop 4 of the botia histronica and 2 of the zebra loaches. It is a little over stocked. I am surprised nobody else has replied.

If you upgrade in a few years they will be fine. But it will not work long-term. When you upgrade you should get at least a 90 gallon tank.

I dont think your stock is really bad and for one reason. Most of these fish will live for only a year or so. Most communtiy fish arent too hardy. Oscaroo you shouldnt be telling people that their tank is overstocked. You will need a bigger tank but ive seen much worse community stocks in a smaller tank. With good filtration you will be ok for a while. I would cut down a few gouramis and a few loaches and you will be set.

I said that he had 1-2 years to upgrade. If they got full size. 1-2 years is a lot. It would work for a while. Just not long term.

Typically a 90g has the same footprint as a 75g. So upgrading to a 90 will not provide room for anymore fish.

true. I own both tanks and although the 90 obviously has greater water volume, which helps on certain levels, the footprint and available surface for 02 exchange is identical in a 75 and a 90.

thanks guys, for right now i took out three of the pearl gouramis, and four loaches. that should at least be a lot better
