Hey guys. I finally have my 75 gallon tank up and running. It has a Fluval 406 and a Marineland 350b for filtration. Current stock is this

1 Turquoise Severum (Rescued her from a Petsmart where she was being torn up by 3 golds)
6 Denison Barbs
10 Lemon Tetra

Temp is at 76.

What other stock options would you guys recommend? Ill attach a pic of the tank below and my sevs transformation in just 4 days.

Lovely tank! I would stop right there. The Dennisons will get to about 5-6" each and are very active (love love love my Dennisons). I don't think the tank is large enough to add another cichlid. Let the sev have it for her own. She'll get to about 8-10". Maybe a bottom fish such as a few cories or a bn pleco but I wouldn't add much else.

The tank looks good. You could add a few small fish if you wanted, your tank is at a good stocking level currently however. If you were to add something, I'd recommend a ram cichlid (german or bolivian would work)

I am planning to swap the Lemons out for Harlequin Rasboras to go with the Denisons color. Id probably get somewhere around 15-20. Final stock would be

1 Sev
6 Denison
15-20 Harlequins
Corys/loaches (choose one or the other)

Less is more imo.

Also alot easier to keep nitrates low. In my 75g I can keep under 5ppm most of the time and the odd time it hits 10ppm.

With full stock it's going to be tough to keep nitrates low.

So how many harlequins would you suggest? And how many/what bottom feeders?

Honestly I like the idea of the sev and the Roseline and that's it. I kind regret getting my 10 synodontis to go with my male gt because they don't come out often enough. My gt is such a personable fish and he interacts so much that I really just wish I had him.

I will probably end up getting rid of my synodontis group sooner than later.

Hmmm I never thought of that. I think if I did that Id probably add a group of 10 corys and just be done with that. Thatd open up a good amount of swim room for the Denisons. I had decided against a severum but found my girl getting beat to hell at a petsmart and couldnt leave her behind. I feel like my tank may cramp her at full size but its better than anywhere she was going/would have gone
