What is a good species to keep in a 75g permanently. Just one fish or a pair. Thanks.

It would be best to pick a fish that will thrive in your water peramaters. Do you have some basic readings such as PH and hardness?

With a ph like that I would say an acara genus cichlid would be nice. Or an A. lyonsi cichlid.

Yes a sal pair would be beautiful.
Female motaguenese could also live there.
Could go with a group of Firemouth (Thorichthys meeki, Thorichthys aureus,Thorichthys pasionis) 5 to 7 with some livebearers as dithers, Molly's, Plattys, Swordtails.
Or the same as above with something from the Amatitlania family, Nanolutae, Siquia, HRP etc

Salvini are awesome fish to keep. They are a very beautiful cichlid with a lot of attitude. Have fun with whatever fish you pick. GL
