What kind of fish do you want?
Voracious predator?
Cichlid?
Intelligent/Personable?

It would be best to pick a fish that will thrive in your water peramaters. Do you have some basic readings such as PH and hardness?
If you live in America it's the law for water providers to post on the internet for all to see their yearly water quality report.

Here is mine as an example

I have all cichlids now. I have africans. I have Central American. I'm open to anything. I would like a personable fish. My ph is high like 8.

With a ph like that I would say an acara genus cichlid would be nice. Or an A. lyonsi cichlid.
Ph may be a little high for a red wolf but it would be cool.

Could go with a group of Firemouth (Thorichthys meeki, Thorichthys aureus,Thorichthys pasionis) 5 to 7 with some livebearers as dithers, Molly's, Plattys, Swordtails.

Or the same as above with something from the Amatitlania family, Nanolutae, Siquia, HRP etc
