In The Little Town Of Bedrock!
Alright so I'm debating tearing my 40 gallon long and 20 gallon to set up a 75 gallon :headbang2 I've always loved the look of Jags and I was thinking that a 75 would be alright for a single Jag for life? I read that it is the min in the profile sticky but I'm just wondering what the general belief is about it?

I know though that I'll wanna add more fish if the Jag doesn't grow fairly quickly though, so how quickly do they grow on average?

Thanks!

I just got rid of two of mine. I bought them at about 1.5" in December of 08 and the one was almost 7" when I got rid of him a month ago. I feel you could easily keep one it in the 40 gallon for awhile till it got about 8" or so, or just till you could get the 75 up and running if you needed time to save some money. I think one jag in a 75 should do fine for quite awhile till it starts getting close to 15" or so, then you may need more room, but you will probably hear different. Just my 2 cents. They are cool fish and worth the wait! Good luck!

Normally they wouldn't care, but I'm on the second floor above my dads office. Not to mention I have a huge cage for my Argentine Tegu that probably weighs a couple hundred pounds with the substrate in it.

Right now I'm slowly working my way up so I have 75 gallons so then I can prove to my parents thats its fine to have a 75 gallon tank in my room with the cage. I'm currently at 60 hehe :)
