I am planning on getting a 75 gallon aquarium for my room and want some SA/CA cichlids. All I know for sure is that I want a JD and a convict (unless I can get a JD/con mix with out doing it myself). What other fish (cichlid or catfish?) can I get?

Thanks
Mike

maybe you should try a triple threat. firemouth,jd, and a convict or maybe a pair. or you could substitute the jd for a salvini a 75 should be big enough.:)

add some bottom feeders and dither/target fish, you never know what will work with cichlids, for catfish you can try plecos, sun cats, pictus cats

Synodontis catfish usually work well with large SA/CA cichlids. sometimes bichirs do as well.

Salvini or Firemouth would work

A pleco of some sort of course.Pictus or sydonts are cool too.A school of giant danios would be look great but might end up eaten

With chiclids there is always the exception to the rule. So I just put in the fish I want then let them sort themselves out. It's survival of the fittest at my house.
