So I'm debating what I'm going to do with my roughly 75 gallon tank once it is available. I was planning on selling it, but the more I think about it the more I want to do something cool with it. I was thinking of putting some Polypterus in, likely just one or two. Does filling the tank roughly halfway (10") in order to leave room for some grasses sound like a good idea? Sandy bottom, grasses, and some wood, maybe some floating plants. I remember from the last time I looked into this that I liked palmas palmas. Are these something I could get my local fish shops to order easily enough?
Thanks in advance

Palmas will be good on 75g.

Polys dont really need deep water, but what they need is width and lenght to swim around
Sounds good. Floor plan is roughly 48x18. Tank is 20" tall, so if I wanted to use that space for other fish I could do that as well, and just stick to underwater plants.

May have to do more wc's to keep up with water quality. Filling the tank all the way would give you more room for error
