^ well the bulb fires and stuff :p :D

By reading the "How it works" link provided ont eh page you linked us to.... it sounded like a bunch of non sense to me...

Doing a quick wiki search Gave me the followign link, which seems to suggest that the only "scientists' that support the benefits of ionizing water are the manufacturers of ionizers...

Doing a little more reading on the topic suggests that ionizing water splits water molecules, making alkaline water and acid water... the alkalinic water is the good stuff and the acidic water is the 'bad stuff'. This exceptionally simple usit doesn't seem to have a way to keep the two seperate, therfore they will simply rebind... or so I would think...

It sonuds like a bunch of hoity toity BS to me... but if your the type to spend a few bucks trying out the latest craze, let us know how it works...

The little bit of "reasearcdh" I just did was by no means thorough research, just me, google and 7 minutes...

so what parts move on a uv unit?
What i ment is a uv unit uses electricity, this one doesn't. This has no bulb that needs to be replaced and no aquartz sleeve that can be broken. AS for as if this works? I think its a load of bull

it seems that instead of using Ultra Violet it uses the Infarred part of the light spectrum. It may just do the same thing as a uv ster. or maybe not

It claims to be maintenance free... It has no mention of needing electricity...

My guess is it is a magnet in a pretty housing...

If your ready to buy this based on the information given I have a magic stick that will make all your filters silent... $29.99 plus shipping... moneyback guarantee

as nutcase says, wont everything rebond anyway? if it does not remove anything, just changes the molecules polarity (ionization) then wont the bonds just reform as soon as the water leaves the chamber?

Im stickin with BS
