so ive been talking about this tank in another thread, but never really introduced it.
it was originally FW and had oscars in it and a few gouarmis. after i got back from leave i got this huge impulse to do a salty. i had brought a 25g flat back hex that i had started when i got back. set it up, cycled, added clowns, was happy. but then i wanted to go bigger! so i evicted the oscars and drained it. so at the beginning of september i had everything switched into it. pics to follow.

sorry about some of the pics being cloudy. i just cleaned the tank and did a WC. im actually getting another shipment of coral on thursday i hope. lotsa zoas, few palys and a few acans. im pretty excited

what does everybody think?

looks good. What is your lighting?

ive got a t12 fixture (old school i know) but it came with the tank. just had to switch the bulb. and a t5 fixture. half 10k daylight, half actinic. i actually just went all actinic to see how it looks. the zoas and green goblin really pop now!

Looks great, love the simplicity of it.

i already had fish in it but i put a tang in that had ich and it killed everything. so all ive got now is coral and sum crabs and a shrimp. ive got an order coming in from mr coral tomorrow so im rly looking forward to that. itll put me at 20+ coral. im working on a hardcore zoa farm. everything looks great under actinic lighting! i put together an awesome rock sculpture yesterday to add to the soon to be zoo garden. im really looking forward to how it should turn out. im goin on leave at the end of the month so when i get back ima c about putting a pair of clowns in. idk yet.. right now the ich seems to be lessened so ima play it by ear. ill post more pics tomorrow after the coral comes in. i picked up i think 4 zoas and 2 acans. my buddy and i split it. so the setup for it as of now is this:
75 gallon tank

2 magnum 250s
1 emporer 400 pumping out about 850gph. i dont believe in sumps.. to much evap imo

300w heater and a new one coming

coralife 2x fixture with actinic
t12 10k
hoping to make a custom hood and add moonlights.

2 powerheads, not exactly sure the type.

60 lbs sand
50 lbs rock (30 base, 20 cured)

stocked with:

8 blue leg hermits
1 cleaner shrimp

coral:

rainbow acan
red velvet acan (thts what i call it because idk the actual name)
about 14 zoa frags
blue yuma, its red for some reason tho

not to much right now. have a new 300w heater coming in and a eshopps 75h. read some good stuff on this skimmer so i have high expectations. and as i said, pics tomorrow afternoon.

i dont like clutter. the open space looks better to me as long as i have color in the tank

I just saw the Acan. That is a very nice looking coral.
