Im curious if anyone with a 75 gallon or larger tank has ever had a tank solely of breeding convict pairs (3+) and fry? How it turned out? How they interacted with each other? When parents would start breeding again with previous fry currently present. If the older fry ate up the new fry? How you aquascaped your tank? Did you have to break line of site? Looked online and really couldnt find the info i was looking for with convict breeding on a large scale in 1 tank. All information on convict breeding on a large scale in 1 tank is appreciated.

most people poo poo on cons because they are nasty little bugggers, but my dad has a 70 gallon , he isnt a huge fish guy but he has strictly pink or white convicts in there about 4 pairs and offspring and they all just take up different locations and know not to cross each others boundarys, and the parents still look after the first gen of fry in conjunction with the new batch nut others fry are fair game its really weird..

he lets it get in his eyes over populated which i can only imagine means OVERPOPULATED X 5 and he fishes out the 1 inches and up and leaves the pairs and gives them away to a pet shop for feed

I will say his cons which i have only seen like twice are HUGE have to be the biggest cons i have seen and they all make it work in that tank..
so i know it is do-able but you know the old man is nuts so i dont know how to gauge that haha

NOPE

my midevils in a matter of 2 months produced almost 3000 fry , my vids are on here somewhere , i had so many i couldnt give them away so they went to the jags and fh tank for a snack, now i have my 25 or so im gonna grow out and the rest are history,

however the last time my male went into breed mode after i introduced my female back in he killed her... so side affect, i think the co parent thing doesnt apply so much to them
