hey all i have a 75g tank and want to set it up with low light plants i was wondering if you all could tell me what are the best/easiest plants to keep. also the easiest plants to attach to driftwood? I have black sand for my substrate and i have a 40w 48" light which i know i will need to upgrade the bulb but to what wattage for the low light plants? im very new to planted tanks  :screwy: so any advice is greatly appreciated

well first off that is very very very low lighting (can learn alot about lights in the stickies) im not sure if these will work in that low of light but this is the "normal" low light plants. java fern (there are a few diff. types), java moss, amazon swords i think are low light and those are the bassic ones that come to my mind im sure there are a few more.

*try searching in the "search this forum" under planted tanks for low light and see what that brings up. you may get faster results that way.

ya somtimes that doesnt seem to work as fast as you would hope. sometimes it takes weeks before you get a good reply. but hopefully that can atleast get you started

amazon swords will die.
Everything but the java ferns will probably die to.
I had a 18watt in a 29, everything died.
Never tried the ferns yet with that low of light, might work.
