Cleveland, Oh.
I'm changing my theme, my question is how many geophagus tapajos can I stock. The only other fish will be leopard pleco and synodontis. Thanks for all your help.

The community is hot. No wonder this site is highly recommended. The people are friendly and helpful. Piss off! Would even think about rainbows with the mix.

depends really though I would only keep a pair personally with some dither fish and the two cats =p

posting tank specs helps as some people ask the same thing and then later they say their filtration is rather small. I'd be more worried about filtration and how much divided territory you can give, using landmarks of sort, like plants, rocks or wood. also frequency of water changes would have been helpful, for the most part I believe most people on this site are fish lovers like myself and don't really like answering the question "how many can i fit in this" as that is a terrible, almost like "how many can I squeeze in to this tank before they are no longer comfortable". My goal is to have my fish be as comfortable as I can possibly afford.

I think 5 with either the pleco or the cat and about 18 tetras would be a great mix. Geos, plecos and cats are a lot of fish in the bottom half and the tetras would balance the tank.

I would say 5 as I have 3 adults in a 50 breeder with 3 roseline sharks and this tank seems to workout fine. only other resiident is a 4 icnh bn pleco. These are very activ cool fish. It is worth the wait especially when these guys color up.
