How long does it take for a 75g to cycle typically and get all bacteria out so i can put my fish and plants in ?

Ok, but you're still going to need a method with which to cycle the tank. A lot of people like the fishless method but I prefer using fish to cycle my tanks.

Using The fishes are a prefered way for me as well.. U can double check the water parameters and also ensure that the water is in the best possible condition for ur new fish to stay n be happy..

yes well i currently have gold fish in there so far 2 died... 2 left..

i took water out of my 165 and filled up my 75 ...75% full of my cycled water and did in in 3 days and my fish is good..
but i would wait a week or so and put in a fish i didnt realy care about...and see how he acts

so jsut keep the gold fish in there if they die its obviously nto ready and pick up a test kit and check it every few days basicly ? till amonia and nitrite is at 0?

also i ahve no heater yet does that matter really... or jsut take longer?
