Hi I have discussed this with a user from AC but im gonna ask it here. I tend to frequent AC more then MFK but the fish I like don't compare to the huge Peacock's that most of your guys/gals own.

Ok so my question is pretty straight forward. Would a 75 gallon aquarium be enough to house a pair of Parachromis loisellei's??? I got this pair from Jeff Rapps and they currently live in a 53gal. I would be running the same that I am on 53 which is 2 AC110's.

In the 53 its the loisellei pair a Hypostomus sp. pleco 3 Silver Dollars and 5 Giant Danios. Im planning on getting rid of the Silver Dollars though don't like how skitish of a fish they are.

IMO a 75 is the minimum for a pair. a 90 would be better imo

I would say too small, but most fishtanks are too small, we do what we can. In this case you run the risk of loosing your female come breeding time. Parachromis need plenty of room and unless you divide the tank this is gonna be too small for 'love'. On the other hand a divided or semi-divided tank will allow for breeding and should work just fine, but it's piss-poor aesthetics. In my opinion you should keep the silver dollars as they are great dither fish, they will help spread the aggression out. I have bred severums in an undivided 75 but they lack the capacity for quick damage like a parachromis.

I was planning on trying something like convicts for target fish rather then the silver dollars. They tend to ignore the Danios and SD's now only try biting them when they get like an inch away from there mouth. My male only goes after the Danios for a meal since he has eaten some but never goes after them out of aggression. The female goes under the driftwood where the male cant fit.

Im planning on getting 2 75gal's and was kinda hoping it would be possible to house them in one but if not then Ill have to make a trip to San Diego where they got some 125gal for a good price new but 2hour drive and gas is expensive.

Anybody know where I could have a double stand made for 125 gallon aquarium.

Ummmm I dont know how to build stuff from scratch though. Anyone know how to make one out of wood??? If so that would be so cool cuz ive only seen double stands made of wrought iron
