I have standard 75 with a 4" Crenicichla lepidota i bought from my LFS and a 11" pleco. I want to have that tank as a pike tank and was wondering how many would be the ideal number of pikes and types for the tank. I search the web to find a max size for my pike but couldn't find any reliable info, so i am asking you guys. also can you shoot me some ideas for setups like decor and filtration. Right now i have a mag 350 on the tank and water is stays pretty ideal. :feedback: Trying to get pics now but i am using crappy blackjack II cam. Thanks for your help

it will all depend on the fish. some pikes will not tolerate other pikes in the tank. you may have luck with the opposite sex. with my pikes i have driftwood, sand and some plants. as for filtration im not familiar with the mag350 but i have a AC110 on my 75g with 1 pike and 10 black skirt tetras. i plan on adding my xp3 when i add a few gymnos to the tank

Will have to bump this thread. I have same question. I plan on getting a 75g and was wondering what type of pike I could put in there with maybe 2-3 other SA/CA cichlids.

Lepidota will usually max at between 8-10" from my understanding. Unless it is a member of the opposit sex, I think a 75 is too small for more than 1 large (8-10" +) pike.
