7inch arowana and 4inch barred midas

Ok my friend has a 75 gallon tank with a 4inch barred midas in it...he is looking to buy a 7in arowana. he is worried that the midas will kill the arowana. what do you think?? BTW he is planning on getting a larger tank within the year. possible a 125g.
 
I think midas will kill it at that size, and that it will outgrow the 125 in a short amount of time if it does survive.
 
yeah i dont know what to tell him and i dont want to see him spend 60-70 bucks on something jsut to let it get beat down.
 
tell him to skip the purchase! lol....
 
he put a 3in flowerhorn in with the midas instead.
 
that has a much better chance:)
 
a FH & a midas equals one fish in the 75 is the arow a silver or black ? Or an aians species an asian species may actually kill the mids the SA. will have to be at least 5inches bigger. but would do better long term in a 250 gal. for them. the midas will probally ignore the SA arows since they swim in different stratas of water.
 
the arowana was a silver one. i think he is going ot leave just the midas and FH in there.
