Put this together this week and was wondering how much pond liner I need and what the best quality pond liner is. Also I was wondering what I needed to put on the bottom of the pond. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Can you raise it and put a concrete base under and fit a bottom drain? It'll make filtering it so much simpler.

They are pressure treated 2x4's. They said it wasn't necessary to get pressure treated but it's always nice to have extra support.

what about the outer plank, what kind of plank is it?

to answer ur ? i talked to the lfs guy and e use the 20 mil type ( ill post a link for u then) they say that holds up really well... the bottom is on u rocks sand ...imo i would u river jack rock to makeit alil more homey but that is me and ur the one that spent the time building it ..now play with it and see http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/11759/product.webwhat u get heres the link dude not a bad price either

Your going to want to put poly insulation on the walls and floor prior to liner install. I would use 40 mil. EPDM liner, 10x15' would be the smallest that would work and is probabaly pre-cut to that size at most pond stores.

I would second the raised pond. You could just use cinder blocks for a solid, cheap platform. The addition of a bottom drain will help water clarity and WC's.
