I am buying one and I need to know the price on one the tank setup and everything . I might be getting one for $30 which is really good for NY. Also are these really aggresive or just like red bellys.
one is not the ideal way to go but I suppose the minimum tank you could put him in would be a 40g breeder or 50g breeder. 75g would be ideal ofcourse bigger is always better. Surface area is more important than gallons. The fish grow to about 12" so you don't want anything only 12" wide (like a 55g). They prefer to be in shoals of atleast 4. 4 caribes would really need a 125 for life, but you could add another two fish to it. Also they are slightly more aggressive than RBPs but I don't know of any piranha that are extremely extroverted.

Also I would like to add: if you're just jumping into piranha hobby just because you're expecting to have a bloodthirsty monster that would tear apart everything that touches the water at once just forget about it!!!! make yourself a favor: Just don't buy anything!!!!.
