I received a 8 gallon biocube as a gift. What would you stock it with?
It currently has some sand, rotala indica & driftwood. Can I even put fish in this thing?

you could easily do a dwarf shrimp breeding tank with that. there are a few fish you could do but be careful. I'm not exactly sure about these choices but My friend researched these and kept the shrimp and gudgeons.

1-2 or 3 dwarf puffers if you heavily plant and overfiltered

a trio or quad of lamprolagous brevis

3-5 peacock gudgeons

bumblebee gobies if brackish

1-3 otto catfish if you scale back the other fish numbers (not for the puffers and possibly also the lamps)

a small school of neon tetras

endlers livebearers

It could make a good breeding tank, fry grow out tank, or quarentine tank if all else fails

1 female convict. Thats what I would stock it with

I would do a planted nano shrimp tank. with some taiwan fire reds or some crs. :)

I'd rather not have to keep monitoring on a 8 gallon sw tank, already have a 29 sw tank in the house.
I bought 6 neon tetras yesterday, they are really active compared to my Honduran Jaguar but just don't seem to cut it for me, I may have to take a trip to for some more stock & a Convict cichlid would be to large for this tank
